Raymond James awarded dual honors for innovative technology, corporate responsibility

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James was recognized with the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award and the Technology Innovation Award by the Bank Insurance & Securities Association (BISA). The firm was honored for its technological innovation for the tenth year and is a second-time recipient of BISA’s corporate responsibility-focused award, which it previously earned in 2018.

“Being recognized by BISA for remarkable leadership across multiple categories is an incredible honor and testament to Raymond James’ commitment to the advancement of its people, platforms and industry,” said Tim Killgoar, senior vice president and head of Raymond James Financial Institutions Division. “Ultimately, the firm’s success in key initiatives, like innovative technology and diversity, ensures our advisors continue to have every opportunity to serve and support their clients.”

The BISA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award recognizes the successful diversity efforts of organizations from the financial industry. The annual award was presented to Raymond James for demonstrating outstanding leadership, accountability, transparency, innovation and results in diversity management.

BISA’s Technology Innovation Award recognizes firms leading the advancement of the financial service industry’s products, services and platforms through innovative technology. This award highlights companies for their commitment to advances in technology-based solutions for the industry.

In the innovative technology category, the firm earned top honors for its Opportunities application, an interactive dashboard designed to help financial advisors predict client needs, foster stronger relationships and grow their practices. The tool combines data sources from across the firm and individual practices with machine learning to deliver actionable insights for client relationship building and business decision-making.

Fully integrated within the established Advisor Access dashboard, Opportunities analyzes firm data and an advisor’s book of business for potential touchpoints and growth opportunities. It then provides advisors with personalized client service ideas and means to take quick actions across the firm’s systems. The dashboard is versatile and customizable, supporting at-a-glance analytics and collaborative features for teams, like shared access and real-time commenting.

“Opportunities dynamically surfaces a myriad of ways for advisors to grow their practice and – more importantly – serve their clients even better,” said Vin Campagnoli, chief information officer at Raymond James. “We’re honored by BISA’s recognition and are proud of the team who developed the application and continues to drive the evolution of advisor-centric technology at Raymond James. The intuitive, interactive dashboard is the culmination of significant investment, and we’ll continue to enhance and refine its capabilities in anticipation of client and advisor needs.”

  • Alerts Portal, a centralized dashboard for advisors to receive and act on various alerts enabling them to optimize workflows and better track action items that impact their clients and business
