Fall 2016

Back to school has Rob’s household empty for the first time. Paige is a Freshman at UVA, thinking about the Commerce school, while Ellis is a senior at Kenyon with dual majors in Economics and English. With the 2 girls off to school, “George”, a 4 month old black English lab puppy, has moved in to maintain the chaos and keep us on our toes.

Not that Rob’s wife Trish needs any encouragement to keep moving. She recently completed her 15th marathon, running the Lehigh Valley Marathon on 9/11/16, finishing 4th in her age group and qualifying for the Boston Marathon again. Go Trish!

With the end of summer, Carlton’s twin daughters Lindsay and Tory have begun their senior year of college at Fordham. Both girls are majoring in psychology and are involved in internships that take them all over NYC.

Grayson is now a senior in high school and is currently focused on completing college applications before all those deadlines.

Mia, the baby of the family, is now a 10th grader who plays on the school’s volleyball team and seems to enjoy the new academic challenges this year with Latin and European History.

Lola and Will have had a quite summer. Their garden didn’t fair well as in past years. The hot weather and lack of rain didn’t help.

Our grandson Ben is in the 4th grade at Robious Elementary School and his brother, Alex, can’t wait to start Kindergarten there in September 2017.

Ben is staying busy in his Cub Scout Pack. They are selling popcorn and peanuts right now. Ben has sold over $1,000 so far. Ben is trying to be the top seller again this year. Lola is hoping that Ben with follow in his Dad’s footsteps and become an Eagle Scout.

Bonnie TeStrake joined the team in July this year. She lives in Bon Air with her husband and two children, both of which attend James River High School. Anne is a Junior and is enjoying the academic challenges of school as well as the social side. Ben is a Freshman and is currently playing on special teams for the JV football team. However, he is anxiously waiting on basketball season since that is his favorite sport. Bonnie has spent the majority of her career in real estate banking and is enjoying learning all about investments and brokerage operations.
