Since 1994, Vic has helped clients plan for their financial futures and has seen them through many market cycles. He began his career with A.G. Edwards & Sons and was selected in 2006 to manage the company’s newly opened Virginia Beach branch. After the subsequent mergers with Wachovia and Wells Fargo Advisors, Vic stepped down from his supervisory roll in order to focus all of his energy on his clients. Vic joined Raymond James in 2015.
To provide clients with a more comprehensive level of service – from budgeting, to planning for retirement, to saving for education, to managing taxes and insurance coverage – Vic completed rigorous coursework and examinations in 2008 to become a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. Certificants must meet ongoing certification renewal requirements and agree to follow rigorous ethical standards.
Vic was born in Corvallis, Oregon. He earned a bachelor’s degree in physics and astrophysics with a strong mathematics background from Pomona College in Claremont, California, in 1985. From an early age Vic knew that he wanted to join the Navy and fly as he aspired to follow in the footsteps of his uncle, a P-3 Orion pilot who retired from the Navy after 20 years of service. After graduation Vic was commissioned an ensign and began a distinguished career as a U.S. Navy aviator. In 1991 Vic flew 45 combat missions in the A-6 Intruder in support of Operation Desert Storm from the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71). After a successful combat tour he returned to the United States as a flight instructor with the VA-42 Thunderbolts. In 2009, Vic retired as a commander from the U.S. Naval Reserve after 20 years of service. During his Navy career his numerous personal decorations included the Air Medal, three Strike Flight and one Individual with combat “V,” as well as the Navy Commendation Medal.
Vic has lived in the Virginia Beach area since 1989 and has two children.
