Raymond James welcomes Alabama financial advisor managing $400 million in assets

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Chris Helton to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Todd Gartrell, Southeast division director for RJFS.

As Helton Wealth Management, based in Huntsville, Alabama, Helton provides holistic financial planning and guidance to a variety of clients, specializing in high-net-worth individuals and business owners and those nearing or in retirement. He arrives from Synovus Securities where he managed approximately $400 million in client assets.

“Raymond James offers the type of independent environment that I want to operate in, where I can focus solely on helping my clients with all aspects of their financial lives. At the same time, the firm provides advanced technology, resources and product offerings, so I’m well equipped with the tools and flexibility to help provide clients with an excellent level of service,” said Helton.

Helton brings more than 18 years of industry experience, most recently through affiliation with Synovus Securities since 2010. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Jacksonville State University.

“It’s my pleasure to welcome Chris to Raymond James. The quality relationships he has fostered with his clients demonstrate the people-first mentality that we value at the firm and make him an excellent addition to our presence in the Southeast,” said Gartrell.
