As part of the RJFS leadership team since 2016, Scott is responsible for strategic planning, execution, and administration of business programs for Raymond James’ independent wealth management division. Scott directs business operations, advisor support, risk management, and business development programs to enhance the firm’s relationships with more than 4,700 affiliated independent financial advisors and institutions.

In his role as head of RJFS Operations and Administration, Scott built a team focused on efficiency and growth initiatives for independent advisors. He led the establishment of a Corporate RIA offering for RJFSA to affiliate fee-only advisors and the development of Admin Extension as a virtual assistant service for affiliated branches. Scott implemented a formal risk management program for the division and has overseen multiple programs focused on service improvements, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and business development.

After beginning his career with J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Scott joined Raymond James in 2005 and has held multiple leadership positions across the firm including Vice President of Administration for Raymond James & Associates (RJA) Private Client Group, Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy and Administration for the wealth management businesses, and Senior Vice President of Operations and Administration for RJFS.

From 2018 to 2021 Scott served on the Raymond James Financial (RJF) Operating Committee, and he also sits on a number of other firm-level committees including AML Oversight, Enterprise Risk Management, Business Standards, Errors & Omissions, and New Products. In 2021, he was named to the Board of Trustees for Raymond James Charitable. Scott was a member of the Financial Service Institute (FSI) Ops & Tech Committee from 2021 to 2023 and has been a member of the SIFMA Private Client Services Committee since 2017.

Originally from Maryland, Scott is a graduate of the University of Delaware and has completed the Securities Industry Institute (SII) program at the Wharton School of Business.
