A: Yes, Secure Messaging times out after 60 minutes. You will need to log back into Secure Messaging to read the message. Because secure messages often contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII), we recommend responding to the sender and closing the email within a short time after reading.

Q: Are replies secure?

A: Yes, email replies are secure when sent within Secure Messaging.

Q: Can I forward a secure message?

A: No, secure messages cannot be forwarded.

Q: Can I add additional recipients to the secure message?

A: No, additional recipients cannot be added to a secure message.

Q: How large can total message size be?

A: 25 MB.

Q: How do I add an attachment?

A: Open the secure email, click Reply or Reply all, and click the Attach a File link. Click Add, choose the desired attachment, and click Upload.

Q: What is the size limit for attaching a file to a reply?

A: 18 MB.

Q: What if I cannot open an attachment within a secure message?

A: Some devices may require a document viewer application to view attachments like Word and Excel documents. You can find an appropriate document viewer application for your device, or try opening the secure message and attachment from a laptop or desktop computer.

Q: What are signatures and how do I know if the signature is valid?

A: Secure messages are electronically signed to ensure authenticity of the sender. You will see this message when a digital signature is valid:

Q: What if I did not receive the secure message I’m expecting?

A: Occasionally, an email is mistaken as unsolicited. Check any email filtering folders (spam, junk, etc.) for the message.

Q: How do I reset my password?
