Raymond James Expands Energy Investment Banking Practice, Hires Veteran Energy Bankers Including New Co-Head of E&P Banking
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. ─ Raymond James has expanded the capabilities of its Energy Investment Banking practice with the hiring of Will Hodge as managing director and co-head of exploration & production (E&P) energy banking. Hodge has advised on over $90 billion of oil and gas industry transactions across a range of products including corporate mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, initial public offerings, inaugural bond issuances, private placements, acquisition financings and restructurings.
“Will is a highly regarded professional in E&P energy banking with a strong reputation for helping clients achieve exceptional outcomes on their most important strategic initiatives and transactions,” said Marshall Adkins, head of the Energy Investment Banking practice. “The expansion of our E&P energy investment banking team marks a significant milestone for the Energy practice, as we grow coverage in this sector to better serve clients as their businesses evolve in response to changing market conditions and prepare for a recovery growth cycle.”
Hodge joins Raymond James from Barclays, where he was a managing director focused on E&P client coverage. He also worked on a variety of midstream and oilfield service transactions during his tenure. Prior to Barclays, Hodge served for eight years as a Navy SEAL officer with combat deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a B.B.A. in management and received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with majors in finance and accounting. Hodge currently serves on the board of the Navy SEAL Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation that provides immediate and ongoing support to the SEAL community and its families.
“I’m excited to join Raymond James during a historic period for the energy industry,” Hodge said. “The firm has an impressive track record of delivering expert advice across products to its clients, earning a revered reputation for trust, service and reliability. This unprecedented time for global energy markets provides a unique opportunity to creatively help clients consider strategic or financing alternatives.”
Also joining Raymond James in the Energy Investment Banking practice as a vice president supporting the E&P practice is Jacob Call. Call joins Raymond James from the private equity firm Riverstone Holdings where he was a member of the deal execution team. Prior to joining Riverstone, he was at Citigroup Capital Markets in the energy investment banking group and the mergers & acquisitions team.
