John believes in a comprehensive wealth management approach to investing, and enjoys working with individuals and institutions to identify, create and implement financial goals and investment strategies.

Drawing on his more than 35 years of experience, John develops personalized investment plans for his clients that help meet their portfolio objectives while taking into account their risk tolerance. Clients value John’s leadership, transparency, and consistent guidance, while he appreciates being part of a strong team to supplement the advice he offers to help meet their goals.

Prior to joining Raymond James in 2012, John spent 12 years working with clients at Morgan Keegan most recently holding the positions of managing director and branch manager. Previously, he managed several branch locations for Prudential Securities over the course of 10 years. In addition to Series 3, 7, 63, 65, and 8 securities licenses, John earned his Wealth Management Specialist (WMS) designation after completing a robust program and ethics agreement. John has also earned the designation of Investment Management Consultant from Raymond James. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and sciences from the University of Georgia.

John is a member of St. Luke Methodist Church, and enjoys golfing, hunting and fishing in his free time. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he has lived in Columbus, Georgia, from a young age and currently resides there with his wife, Margaret. They have one son, Jake.

The Investment Management Consultant designation is awarded to those who complete the Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting program.
