Hector Matos

Hector joined Raymond James Texas Public Finance Group in July 2020 to Head our Texas ISD practice. He opened and manages our San Antonio Public Finance Office. After serving eight years in the US Army, Hector worked for over 23 years as a Texas public school district business and finance official for San Antonio ISD, Northside ISD, Del Valle ISD, Roma ISD and Regional Service Center 20. During his tenure at Northside ISD from 2001 to 2012, Hector assisted in five successful bond elections totaling $1.75 billion. Prior to joining Raymond James, Hector worked for seven years in public finance with Citigroup where he served as lead or co-lead banker on over $19 billion in Texas school district underwritings for numerous school districts throughout the State of Texas. Hector’s experience has prepared him well to assist school districts with all their bond issuance needs. He is a graduate of the School of Business of the University of Puerto Rico and holds a Texas CPA License and FINRA Licenses 52, 53 (municipal securities principal) and 63.
