Derek Clenin

Derek is a director in the Fixed Income Capital Markets division of Raymond James. He specializes in serving commercial banks and credit unions by providing portfolio analysis, developing investment and risk management strategies, and executing trades in loan and securities portfolios. He also focuses on residential mortgages (both qualified and nonqualified), commercial mortgages, consumer and unsecured lending, Fintech, scratch and dent loans, and nonperforming assets.

Derek began his financial services career at Deloitte & Touche Tohmatsu Limited. His primary responsibilities included auditing financial statements and assisting executive management teams in developing balance sheet strategies that optimized asset-liability management, capital adequacy, accounting standards and regulatory guidelines. Derek’s deep understanding of financial statements enables him to take a holistic approach when serving clients within the Fixed Income Capital Markets division. He joined Raymond James in 2015.

A Certified Public Accountant, Derek also holds his Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses, as well as a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Accountancy degree from the University of Memphis.
