Preasley Simkins
Preasley Simkins has worked in the trust and wealth management industry for almost 20 years. She currently serves as a Vice President of Raymond James Trust Company, N.A., for the Private Wealth Trust group focusing on ultra-high net-worth families as well as the Estate Settlement group. Raymond James Trust currently serves as trustee, co-trustee, agent for trustee, custodian or executor for approximately 2000 individuals and families within the United States with fiduciary assets under management in excess of 10 billion dollars.
Before joining Raymond James in 2023, Preasley spent the majority of her career handling trust and estate administration, family office services, and various leadership roles including acting as the Chief Fiduciary Officer for a boutique trust company, mentoring other trust officers, and developing new and expanding markets. While these roles require a good deal of technical knowledge and administration, she has found that the relationship building with attorneys, CPAs, and advisors and creating results for the families she has served to be the most rewarding aspect of her career.
Preasley, a Florida native, moved to Alaska following high school and graduated cum laude from the University of Alaska, Anchorage with a degree in Political Science. From there, she returned to Florida to earn her Juris Doctor from Stetson College of Law in St. Petersburg and later her LL.M. in taxation from the University of Alabama.
In her free time, Preasley and her husband, Jason, enjoy cooking, traveling, boating, and spending time with family. She has a 19 year old son, Baylor, who will be a freshman at University of Tampa beginning in the spring and she has recently relocated her father to St. Peterburg to be closer to her and her family. She has previously volunteered with Southeastern Guidedogs (now Dogs, Inc.), Tampa Bay Watch, and as a parent volunteer for her son’s rowing team.
