Dick Bartow began his career in public finance nearly 30 years ago serving public finance issuers in Missouri. In that time, Mr. Bartow has developed a strong Midwest business practice which focuses primarily on school districts and other issuers of bonds across Missouri. Mr. Bartow’s expertise and commitment to serving clients’ needs are continuously demonstrated through the longstanding relationships he maintains with his clientele. During the past three decades, Mr. Bartow has worked closely with Mr. Greg Bricker. Together, they completed over 800 bond issues with a par amount exceeding $3 billion. Mr. Bartow has also worked closely with legislators to enact legislation that increased the bonding debt limit for Missouri school districts to 15%, as well as to include TIF property in the calculation of debt limits and to lower state auditor fees on bond issues. Prior to joining Raymond James, Mr. Bartow spent over 25 years as an executive vice president for George K. Baum & Company helping the firm maintain its ranking as one of the leading underwriters of school bond issues in Missouri. Before joining George K. Baum & Company, Mr. Bartow served as a teacher, coach and superintendent of schools in Missouri. In addition to his hands-on experience, Mr. Bartow holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Missouri, advanced degrees from the University of Central Missouri and the University of Missouri–Kansas City, and Series 7 and 52 securities licenses.
