Raymond James welcomes financial advisor managing $200 million in Winter Park, Florida

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Steven Porter, CFP®, to Raymond James & Associates (RJA) – the firm's employee advisor channel ­– in Winter Park, Florida, according to Gregg Stupinski, Southeast regional director for RJA.

Porter arrives from Charles Schwab, where he managed $200 million in client assets. As part of RJA’s Winter Park branch, he specializes in serving families, retirees, businesses and individuals undergoing significant financial changes like business sales or liquidity events.

Bringing nearly two decades of financial services industry experience to his role as senior vice president of investments, Porter began his career in 2007 at Morgan Stanley and most recently served at Charles Schwab for nine years. In addition to his professional experience, he holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation and a bachelor’s degree in food and resource economics from the University of Florida.
