Raymond James welcomes financial advisor managing $160 million in North Dakota

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisor Matt Schultz to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – in Watford City, North Dakota, according to Kirk Bell, Central division director for RJFS.

Schultz joins the established team at Midwest Wealth as Western division president, serving a range of clients including business owners, families, retirees and farmers. Previously, he was affiliated with LPL Financial where he managed approximately $160 million in client assets.

“Raymond James is a true fit for my practice. Its exceptional support and investment options, combined with technology that’s built to be functional in everyday business, help free me to spend more meaningful time with clients,” said Schultz. “As an independent advisor, it’s also essential that I have control over how my clients are treated, not only now, but also in the future when I retire and enact a succession plan. Perhaps most importantly, the firm’s capabilities are backed by a welcoming culture that values people first.”

Schultz offers over a decade of financial services experience, as both a paraplanner and financial advisor, and spent nearly seven years with his previous firm. In addition to his professional experience, he is committed to giving back to his community and is a long-standing member of the local volunteer fire department.
