Raymond James welcomes Utah advisor team managing $1 billion in client assets
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisors Jaden Gurney, Trevor Hanson and Jonathan Rogers to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Bill Counsman, Western division director for RJFS.
The advisors arrive from Zions Bank and LPL Financial where they previously managed approximately $1 billion in client assets. With offices across Utah in Salt Lake City, Richfield and St. George, together they provide financial planning to a variety of clients including business owners and those in or nearing retirement. The group is joined by financial consultant Katie King and client service managers Jesica Mangum and Elisa Meacham.
“Raymond James provides an environment where we can serve our clients with total independence and objectivity. This allows us to enhance our relationships and take a more well-rounded approach to serving all facets of clients’ financial well being,” said Gurney.
Gurney offers 12 years of financial advising experience, and most recently spent the last nine years at LPL Financial.
“Our clients are always our number one priority, and that approach is supported at Raymond James from the top down. That, combined with the advanced technology and services available at the firm, were big draws for our team,” said Hanson.
Since launching his career at Key Bank in 2006, Hanson has advised clients for nearly 18 years. He is also a United States Air Force veteran, where he served as an aircraft mechanic.
“By aligning with Raymond James, our practice has gained the autonomy and advanced resources to focus on finding effective strategies for our clients’ financial needs well beyond standard investment management and products,” said Rogers.
Rogers has more than 13 years of experience and entered the financial services industry at US Bank before becoming a financial advisor in 2014. He holds an MBA with an emphasis in financial planning from Utah State University.
“I’m pleased to welcome Jaden, Trevor and Jonathan to Raymond James, their talented team exemplifies the client-first approach of the firm, making for a natural partnership. Our footprint in the Western division continues to expand as advisors find value in our offering of the resources of a large, national firm paired with the culture of a boutique,” said Counsman.
