Raymond James welcomes financial advisors managing $240 million in Corpus Christi, Texas
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James welcomed financial advisors Bruce Hoffman, Michelle Orcutt and Matt Paul to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent broker/dealer – in Corpus Christi, Texas, according to Kirk Bell, Central regional director for RJFS.
The advisors joined Raymond James from Wells Fargo Advisors, where they collectively managed more than $240 million in client assets and had $1.7 million in annual production. The advisors have formed a new partnership, Coastal Bend Wealth Partners and serve a variety of clients, including business owners, retirees, families and individuals. Joining them at the firm is Barbara Inman, senior client associate.
“We were looking for a firm that has a client-first approach and an independent-minded, forward thinking culture,” said Orcutt, managing partner of Coastal Bend Wealth Partners and RJFS advisor. “The freedom and flexibility that Raymond James offers were important factors for us and our decision to make the move. We are impressed with the sophisticated resources and support, but above all, we’re excited to build our business with a client-focused firm like Raymond James as our partner.”
Orcutt began her financial services career in 1990, first as a banking regulator, then a banker and finally an advisor. She first joined A.G. Edwards in 2002, which became Wachovia Securities and subsequently Wells Fargo Advisors. She holds a professional degree in banking and economics from Louisiana State University’s Graduate School of Banking and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Texas A&M University, Corpus Christi.
Hoffman, managing partner of Coastal Bend Wealth Partners and RJFS financial advisor, began his career in financial services almost 30 years ago at Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining Raymond James, he was with Wells Fargo Advisors and its predecessor firms. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
Paul, managing partner of Coastal Bend Wealth Partners and RJFS financial advisor, began his career as a financial advisor with Dean Witter in 1989, moving to A.G. Edwards in 1991 where he spent time as a branch manager and remained throughout the Wachovia, Wells Fargo acquisitions, until moving to Raymond James. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
“I’m proud to welcome Michelle, Bruce and Matt to Raymond James,” said Bell. “They are an experienced group of financial advisors who have built their businesses with a client-first approach. We’re pleased they chose Raymond James as their partner as they continue to grow their independent business and enhance their wealth management services to clients.”
Coastal Bend Wealth Partners is not a registered broker/dealer and is independent of Raymond James.
