Giving back to our community

Like many of our clients, we are honored to be able to use our success to provide important support to charitable organizations in our community. Here are some of the ways we give back:

Utah Food Bank

The Utah Food Bank has helped fight hunger across Utah since its founding in 1904, serving the estimated 317,000 Utahns who are at risk of missing a meal today. We are glad to support this critical charitable organization as volunteers and donors.

“Food is the most basic need, but food security is heartbreakingly out of reach for too many of our community members. The Utah Food Bank does incredible work bridging those needs in our community, bringing sustenance to families and giving them the basic foundation needed to start reaching for their goals. We’re glad to offer our support.” – Stephen G. Williams

Make-a-Wish Foundation of America

Make-a-Wish foundation connects children with critical illnesses and their families with organizations and volunteers to fulfil their wishes. More than doing a nice thing, fulfilling wishes helps wish-makers and families face their burdens with optimism.

“Make-a-Wish is one of the great missions, giving children who have been through hard times the opportunity to feel like a kid. It’s incredible to see.” – Kevin Townsend

Honorary Commanders Program Defense Information Systems Agency

Joshua Stout has an appointment with the Honorary Commanders Program for the Defense Information Systems Agency, working with servicemembers to teach financial skills that will serve their families and personal well-being.

“When shown the concepts, highly motivated, mission-driven people understand the purpose and benefits of planning their finances very quickly. In this way, I’m glad I am able to help our local servicemembers reduce financial stress. It’s an honor to serve those who serve our nation.” – Joshua Stout

Project Healing Waters

Project Healing Waters uses the skills and focus demanded of fly fishing to provide therapeutic benefits to veterans overcoming service-related trauma. Along the way, veterans also benefit from one-on-one camaraderie, connectedness to the world and the strength of the veteran and volunteer community. In 2023, the organization served more than 6,000 participants.

“Fly fishing is active. It’s skillful. You have to set aside your thoughts and allow in the world around you. Project Healing Waters has shown it also helps people work through some tough stuff. I’m proud to do my part to help.” – Steven R. Williams
