A Few of the Finer Things - May 2015
This month I would like to revisit a couple of posts from 2014 that remain timely.
The first is that I cannot express strongly enough how important it is that you have a “Financial Roadmap” for your spouse/beneficiaries. Unfortunately Lauren, Patti and I deal with the passing of clients far too often in our business and there is such a difference between those who plan and those who do not…you do not want to be one who leaves their loved ones unprepared. Please revisit this article, “Creating a roadmap for a surviving spouse”. I once again reiterate the last line, “The time to create a financial roadmap is before you need it.”
The second is a book I recommended last April, Toughness by Jay Bilas. For those who do not want to muddle through the entire book, I recently came across a column highlighting the top 10 lessons from the book (sort of a one-page Cliff Notes version) which you can read here.
