The insightful books of Bruce Feiler

Through my co-chairmanship of the JCA's Mega Event, I have gotten to know our guest speaker, Bruce Feiler. Bruce is a popular writer on faith, family and finding meaning in everyday life. He is a columnist for The New York Times and a frequent contributor to NPR, CNN and Fox News.

I recently read his book, "The Council of Dads," which tells the touching story about a man dealing with cancer who asks six men in his life to be there for his daughters if he did not survive.

I also recently finished his latest book "The Secrets of Happy Families," which I thoroughly enjoyed and am adopting a lot of those suggestions into our everyday family life. Bruce spoke at the Mega Event on March 21 about "The Power of Community." You can learn more about him and his books here.
