Giving back means giving of ourselves
My commitment to the community has taken many forms and is very important to me.
Born and raised in North Miami Beach, Florida, this is my community of 40 plus years. The people I see on a day-to-day basis are both family and friends of the community. I have seen the community transform through my very eyes and I desire always to give back.
I am active with The Chapman Partnership center where I help organize group feedings and arts and crafts for the younger children. In 2017, I joined the Kesher Board of Directors at the Hillel Community Day School which offers special education in secular and Judaic studies for students in grades first through 12th who are diagnosed learning disabled and who may have dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity, developmental delays or other factors that affect the way they learn.
I am currently involved with Big Brother Big Sisters Miami as a mentor to a high schooler named Kevin. We are preparing Kevin for college and his future goals of joining the US Army.
I travel throughout Miami and present to middle and high schools on various topics involving financial literacy lessons and lectures on the importance of sound financial security and smart money habits.
