Traveling along this road called life
We’re all familiar with what a Good Samaritan is: Someone who helps others, especially strangers, when they are in trouble. The Good Samaritan lesson comes from a Bible parable – Jesus used this story to teach a lesson in compassion. That lesson inspired our practice name, and it continues to inspire how we serve our clients.
The parable takes place along the road between Jerusalem and Jericho, which was known to be a dangerous path. The journey through life can be like that at times, especially when it comes to finances. The ups and downs of the markets can be tricky to navigate, and when you add in the nuanced needs related to life milestones – the transition to retirement, for example – the path can suddenly begin to feel rocky and perilous.
At Jericho Road Private Wealth Counsel, we want to be the Good Samaritan who helps you along your financial journey. We’ll travel down the road together, toward the future you’ve long envisioned for yourself and your family.
“But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’” Luke 10:33-35
