My husband and I are retirees who moved to Granville from Mississippi in 2016. We were Denison University graduates back in the 1960s—and our daughter is an alumni too, who now lives in Granville—so the village made sense for a comfortable closeness to family for our retirement years. We started fresh here and had a need to find a local financial advisor. I met Ryan through the Granville Rotary Club, and asked if he’d be willing to work with us. Heather goes the extra mile in explaining things and being so attentive to us. One recent experience with her is how helpful and ON IT she was when we were trying to surrender/rollover an annuity from another company, and we wanted to get better interest rates. Heather really stated our case and made sure the right thing was done to get the situation resolved. We’re thankful to have her on our side.
Being retirees without new income coming in, we are looking to protect our assets and make the best stewardship of them. The Granville Investment Group always takes their time with our reviews and conversations—patiently answering everything we want to know without being pushy or insistent. Good advice is given and we are in control to make the decisions from there—and they respect that process and have admirable patience. Ryan even invited our son to participate in our recent annual reviews so he understands our portfolio and so we all have a peace of mind in case something happens to my husband or I...Ryan and my son are acquainted in a trusted relationship now too, which is very comforting to us. Ryan is also always so respectful of our privacy and boundaries, too, and really just has a great way of working with his clients.
The fact that Ryan is an integral part of Raymond James also keeps us confident in our partnership. We also so admire the group’s commitment to supporting community non-profit activities. They are great at bringing their client family together to volunteer and also for fun social activities throughout the year. We even get a special table at the Buxton Inn concerts in the summer and it is really nice to be part of a family like that with other clients who share similar lifestyles.
