I’ve known Ryan Mills from local banking jobs since I was right out of college. We’d kept in touch over the years, then around 2015 when First Federal was looking for RFPs for our 401(k), I went to Ryan for some advice. Ryan’s involvement prompts our whole company to engage with the plan so that we appreciate its value and benefits, continue to learn, and become an active participant in our own retirement plans, rather than taking a “set it and forget it” approach.

Growing our 401(k) plan participation to 100%

I can proudly say that since we’ve switched to Ryan’s advisory role of our 401(k) plan, our participation rate grew to 100% participation within the first year—and we’ve been able to maintain that. Every eligible employee is participating in our 401(k) now. It is clearly evident that our whole team trusts Ryan. They feel seen and cared for and understand that Ryan doesn’t treat their retirement like a cookie cutter; everyone really has their own priorities during different stages of their lives.
