Johnathan Cohen Bio Image

Jonathan B. Cohen,

AWMA™ Managing Director Branch Manager

As might be expected of one growing up as Bernie Cohen’s son, Jon received an early education about investing and the importance of responsible financial management. Through his father’s example, he saw that, properly guided, people could use their hard work to achieve great goals and provide for their families across generations.

These lessons inspired Jon, and he followed in his father’s footsteps, joining his practice in 1991. In the years since, Jon has distinguished himself as a financial advisor through his commitment to his clients. He is known for his responsiveness, accountability and empathy. Money matters can be difficult to discuss – Jon makes sure his clients feel confident and comfortable conversing about their goals, their concerns and their hopes for their families.

Like his father, Jon has passed down the family tradition of stewardship to the next generation. Camille Marchesani joined the practice as a client service associate in 2023.

In his practice, Jon works primarily with families, professionals, professional athletes and other driven individuals who want to pursue meaningful goals and financial independence.

He has been recognized as a Best in State Wealth Advisor by Forbes in 2024 and has been a continuous member of the Raymond James Chairman’s Council since 2012. Additionally, he was named to the AdvisorHub 100 Solo Advisors to Watch list in 2023 and has been recognized by the Raymond James Pride Financial Advisors Network with its Ally Award in 2023.

Jon is a graduate of George Washington University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political communications.

Jon is on the advisory board of the Ali Forney Center in New York City, a charitable organization that provides support and life skills education to homeless LGBTQ youth. He also serves as a council member of the Raymond James Pride Financial Advisors Network, a 3 year elected position for the professional networking group that advocates serving the needs of LGBTQ advisors, clients and their families.

Outside the office, Jon enjoys softball, art collecting and wine – he is a level one sommelier. In 2024 he was inducted into his high school’s baseball hall of fame “JP Taravella Baseball Hall of Fame”. He is originally from New York, was raised in Coral Springs, Florida, and now resides in Jupiter, Florida, with his wife Gisella. The couple have three children: Camille, Ian and Bradley, and one grandchild.
