Jim joined Braehead Wealth Advisors of Raymond James in 2017. Jim’s role on the team is to service the retirement plan clients and their participants. He specializes in helping business owners understand their retirement plan and educate the participants on that employee benefit. His goal is to help business owners navigate the ever-changing retirement plan marketplace including 401(k) plans, SIMPLE IRAs, Cash Balance, and nonqualified deferred compensation plans to name a few.

Jim graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Finance. He started his career at the broker-dealer Waddell & Reed before transitioning to AMG National Trust and Bank. There he honed his skills at creating financial plans for high net worth families and c-suite level executives. Jim holds his Series 7 General Securities Representative license, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He also serves the city of Chicago as a Firefighter/EMT on the Chicago Fire Dept.

Jim is native to Chicago with roots on the Southside and currently resides in the Wicker Park area of the city. When not at the office or firehouse you can find him trying out new restaurants and recipes. In his spare time, he enjoys working out, golfing, and watching his favorite sports teams including the Bears, White Sox, and Iowa Hawkeyes.
