Mike Hlavek is a founder and managing director of the Winter Park Wealth Group, overseeing the business operations of the practice. As a Financial Advisor Mike enjoys helping his clients with the important financial matters in their lives. His goal is to help his clients set realistic financial goals and have a full understanding of their total financial lives. He has deep ties to both Winter Park and the financial services industry.
A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner, Mike develops comprehensive wealth management plans designed to have the greatest probability of success while taking the least amount of risk necessary. By being certified by the CFP Board, he has taken the extra step to demonstrate his professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the rigorous CFP® certification process that includes highly demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements.
Before co-founding the Winter Park Wealth Group, Mike worked as a financial advisor for Smith Barney in Winter Park.
Earlier in his life, Mike served as an analyst for the Consulting Group division of Smith Barney in Atlanta, where he was responsible for money manager research and analysis, asset allocation and quarterly monitoring for institutional clients. Mike graduated from Winter Park High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in international business and marketing with a minor in economics from Flagler College.
Active in his community, Mike is a member of the Flagler College Alumni Association, a board member and past Treasurer of the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival, past class co-chair of Leadership Winter Park and sits on the Winter Park Firefighters Pension Board.
While Mike was born in California, he was raised in Winter Park, where he lives with his wife, Kristi, and children, Reagan, Delaney and Hudson. In his free time, he enjoys golf, skiing, coaching his son’s Little League team and participating in various local charities.
