A wide-range of capabilities, to fulfill your diverse financial needs
We begin by using a thought process that goes beyond conventional wisdom. Having started in the financial industry in 1972 it was quickly recognized that the academic study and knowledge I had obtained in the 1960s proved mostly wrong during my first decade in our field. Many of those academic concepts are still the foundation of financial education today.
As I started a fee-oriented business model in 1985 a key focus was to understand a thought process that could help us guide and mentor clients for what will be rather than what has been. This has resulted in us being able to counsel our client families through multiple generations and multiple decades of retirement.
During the 1990’s Mike and Gregg joined the business. They both earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification as we strive for the broad-based knowledge for personal wealth management. Just as critical they have been an integral part of the ongoing research and thought process that convince us that conventional wisdom (CW) is not always wise. CW is an exercise of looking backward. Wealth management is best served by looking forward. We have been servicing clients for several decades, and in that time have seen first-hand how human nature and emotion can effect one’s decision making process.
Through our experience, we have found that clients can become set in their thinking that the past trends will also be the future. While the past events or trends can certainly show similarities as time moves forward, we have found that when planning for the future, one must understand that cycles change, both on the short-term and the long-term. That understanding has allowed us to look beyond conventional wisdom to assist our clients to find a long-term wealth management process that will help them achieve their financial goals.
