Glyn is a panel expert for the CEO Leadership Forum, formed in 2016. The Florida-based Forum provides ongoing leadership development for mid-market companies. Members benefit from sponsors insight, coaching and strategies to excel in business and improve outcomes. Through its Distinguished Internship Program at Valencia College, the Forum provides support to outstanding students in the Central Florida region and has thus far awarded over $100,000 in scholarships.
Wakeboarding in Windermere
In 2004, Glyn and businessman Peter Fleck established the Windermere WakeFest, as part of Rotary Club of Windermere's Festival Among the Lakes, which includes many of the top wakeboarders in the world. The event has greatly enhanced the fundraising of the festival, which has donated over $500,000 to local charities, including the Home at Last Project, since the inception of the WakeFest.
Oakland Heritage Festival
In cooperation with the Oakland Nature Preserve and the St. Johns Water Management District, Glyn has provided the boats, personnel and also captained tours of Lake Apopka during the Oakland Heritage Festival. The tours educate the community on the benefits of the Oakland Nature Preserve and the measures being taken to clean up Lake Apopka.
