Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®)
This CIMA® is the peak international, technical portfolio construction program for investment consultants, analysts, financial advisors and wealth management professionals. Earning the certification demonstrates that certificants have met the requirements for working with individuals and institutions to develop investment policies aligned with a client’s goals and needs, recommending an investment strategy to meet those goals, and evaluating and monitoring the portfolio over time. The certification also attests commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.

Just like a reliable professional is certified against standards, a certification program should be accredited by an independent third party to demonstrate that it meets best practices in certification. The CIMA® certification earned third‐party accreditation by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), making it the first financial series credential in the US to meet an international standard for personnel certification.

Investments & Wealth Institute™ (The Institute) is the owner of the certification marks “CIMA” and “Certified Investment Management Analyst.” Use of CIMA and/or Certified Investment Management Analyst signifies that the user has successfully completed The Institute’s initial and ongoing credentialing requirements for investment management professionals.
