Sponsored by the American College of Financial Services and crafted by more than 45 of the top retirement planning experts in the country; this specialization is awarded upon completing 3 in-depth college level exams that covers 18 competencies central to retirement. As a Retirement Income Certified Professional®, Sean is equipped with the knowledge to effectively manage the transition from asset accumulation during a client’s working years to asset distribution in retirement, delivering smart strategies for creating secure, sustainable income. As clients transition from wealth accumulation to wealth preservation in retirement, the RICP® credential has risen to prominence. Last year a total of 5,000 advisors have earned this designation since its launch; underscoring the need for targeted knowledge to support clients faced with the challenge of retirement income planning.
Individuals who hold the AAMS® designation have completed a course of study encompassing investments, insurance, tax, retirement, and estate planning issues. Additionally, individuals must pass an end-of-course examination that tests their ability to synthesize complex concepts and apply theoretical concepts to real-life situations.
