Randy Koontz

Randy S. Koontz, WMS

Investment Executive

Randy is a Wealth Management Specialist and has 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is committed to helping the clients he serves realize their financial goals, and advising them on important financial matters such as wealth preservation, investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, tax planning and asset preservation strategies.

Randy understands it is fruitless to try to predict the future of the market. After seeing firsthand how traditional buy-and-hold methods often fail investors, he and his business partner, Scott Shepherd, developed the Market Adaptive methodology, a proprietary investment methodology engineered with the objective of limiting investment losses during extended market downturns.

Before joining Raymond James in 2006, Randy worked as a financial professional at Morgan Stanley, A.G. Edwards & Sons and First America FSB. He majored in financial management and real estate at the University of Arkansas, and also attended the University of Central Arkansas, where he was a member of the 1984 NAIA National Championship football team.

Randy stays active in his community, attends Grace Hills Church in Bentonville, is a board member for the Arkansas Chapter of the National Football Foundation, and is a member of the Hope Cancer Resources Board. He is a past chairman for Hope Cancer Resources and has also served as a Justice of the Peace for Benton County, Arkansas.

Originally from Charleston, Arkansas, Randy and his wife Deanna, also his high-school sweetheart, live in Rogers. They recently became empty nesters. They have 4 children; Meredith and son-in-law Nathan, Megan recently graduated magna cum laude from John Brown University and now Director of Development at the NWA Women’s Shelter, Matthew a junior at the University of Arkansas majoring in Criminal Justice, and Mallory recently graduated from high school and now working at 7Brew. Randy enjoys spending time with his kids, golf, hunting and cheering on the Arkansas Razorbacks.
