Mark genuinely loves helping people fulfill their dreams. His ultimate endeavor is to help clients reach their goals in a way they are comfortable with through wealth management, financial and goal planning, estate and trust planning, and liability management. His investing style focuses on a forward-looking approach.
Tired of being with firms garnering negative front-page news, Mark joined Raymond James as a financial advisor in 2011. He was attracted to the firm because it provides extensive research and comprehensive resources but, above all, Mark appreciates the open architecture of client solutions versus being forced to use trendy investments or a one-size-fits-all approach. In 2014, Mark made the decision to open his own, independent office and works with clients worldwide – at one time working with clients in seven different countries.
His past experience includes working as a senior vice president and financial advisor with Chase, and as a financial advisor, certified financial manager, estate and insurance planning specialist with Merrill Lynch, where he also spent two years in the professional development program at the company’s Princeton campus.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from New Mexico State University with an emphasis on financial management and real estate, and minors in accounting, marketing and management. Continuing education is important to Mark, and he has completed levels one and two of the Raymond James Institute of Investment Management Consulting program.
Involved in his community, Mark spent two years as president of the downtown El Paso Kiwanis club and received the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Award in 2002. He was a founding member of the board of advocates for New Mexico State University’s College of Education in 2004 and is currently active. Also a founding member of El Paso’s SVT Mustang Elite Car Club, he has been a driver for the Wounded Warrior fundraising event, is an annual participant in its Christmas bike drive and chairman of its back-to-school backpack committee to provide supplies for children in need. Mark is also a member of the El Paso High School baseball booster club and has been a volunteer coach for Southwest Baseball since 2003.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Mark grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and lives in El Paso, Texas, with his wife, Deborah, and children, Brandon, Lauren and Jaden. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf.
