Supporting our community and those who call it home
We are well established in Buffalo and proud to be part of the community and area’s history, heritage and resources. We believe that supporting our community helps raise the quality of life here for all who call it home. Here are some of the worthy organizations and charitable causes we have supported over the years.
The Allentown Association
The neighborhood in which our office is located and the beneficiary of our first Raymond James Cares service day. Its mission is to serve its community through efforts to beautify the neighborhood; encourage historic preservation and property maintenance; promote appropriate business development; fight crime; and protect and enhance Allentown’s unique urban ambiance.
YMCA Turkey Trot
This is the oldest consecutively run footrace in the world. Lisa has been running the Turkey Trot with her family for many years. Proceeds fund YMCA programs that empower youth, improve community health, and ensure access to all.
The Teacher’s Desk
A beneficiary of a Raymond James Cares day of service and a frequent site of school service hours for Jennifer and Lisa’s children. Their mission is to distribute free school supplies to students in need, to encourage teachers, and to provide purpose through volunteerism.
Nardin Academy
Lisa has served Nardin over nine years in various capacities, including as board chair for three years, a committee member, treasurer and investment committee chair. Nardin includes a college preparatory high school for young women, a coeducational elementary school and a Montessori preschool.
Friends of the Night People
A charitable organization located in our neighborhood of Allentown that helps the poor, homeless and destitute with food, clothing, medical care, counseling and hope. We spent an evening serving dinner during a Raymond James Cares day of service.
Ronald McDonald House Charities
We bought the food, prepped and cooked together as an office during a Raymond James Cares day of service. The meal we provided was to feed families staying at the Buffalo House, enabling them to remain close to their children in hospitals in the Buffalo area.
Habitat for Humanity Buffalo
We have worked in demolition and building on two houses during separate Raymond James Cares service days. In addition, Jennifer serves as a family liaison helping families through the process of becoming homeowners.
The Valley Community Association
Our most recent Raymond James Cares day of service was spent doing landscaping for this association, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of the residents of the Buffalo River community by meeting individual and family needs and promoting environmental beautification.
