For the past 6 years Kent has been a volunteer coach for youth baseball in the Laingsburg Community, coaching his son Cameron at various levels.
For the past 8 years Kent has been a volunteer head and assistant coach for youth basketball teams in the Laingsburg Community.

As March comes to an end, Japanese officials estimate the number of dead or missing at more than 28,000. At the six-reactor Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power complex, attempts to control radiation leaks into the atmosphere and water systems continue at a desperate pace. The March 11 magnitude 9.0 earthquake and the tsunami that followed hit a highly developed nation, but that hardly lessens the scope of the human tragedy.
