Senior Vice President, Investments, Managing Director
joseph.ciaramitaro@raymondjames.com
Joe's introduction to financial planning was born out of necessity and love for his family. When Joe was just 14, his father passed away. With the duty of a devoted son, he assumed responsibility for managing the family finances.
He will humbly tell you that he is just a simple person who coaches financial planning and youth sports, but his clients will probably tell you that he is so much more. He coaches them on not just managing their investments, but on all aspects of their financial lives, from planning for college to having an estate plan.
He is not just a numbers guy, but a trusted confidant who helps you with your finances. He shares many of his clients' values – fun, family, friendship – and is like a life coach to them. Like any good coach, he has a persistent, honest approach, focuses on the basics and provides investment information so his clients can be better informed and prepared throughout their lives. The bottom line is that he truly cares about his clients and his primary goal always centers around helping them do better than they could on their own.
Joe has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and is Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. By being certified by the CFP Board, he has taken the extra step to demonstrate his professionalism by voluntarily submitting to the rigorous CFP® certification process that includes highly demanding education, examination, experience and ethical requirements.
He moved his practice to Raymond James over 12 years ago because he was impressed with the tenure and loyalty exhibited by other advisors at the firm. Earlier in his life, Joe was a first vice president at Prudential Securities and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University. Joe grew up in Grosse Pointe Park and lives in Farmington Hills with his wife, Elaine, and their children, Jackie, Charlie and Robbie. In his free time, Joe enjoys reading, keeping up with the latest in technology, collecting baseball cards, and especially coaching youth baseball, basketball and soccer.
