Giving thanks to those who give back
Back in 1962, Bob James founded Raymond James on the principle that putting others first – from our clients to our neighbors – was the right thing to do. His deep commitment to doing what’s right remains a core part of who we are as a company. We’re proud to continue his legacy by investing our time, money and talents into the communities we serve. It’s so much more than tradition; it’s our way of thanking those who’ve supported us from the start.
All around the country, you’ll see Raymond James associates giving back to their communities in countless ways, supporting the arts, United Way and Junior Achievement, as well as a host of educational, civic, social and philanthropic endeavors. We’re proud of the work they do, and we thank them for their boundless generosity.

Rosca de Reyes
Celebrating Rosca de Reyes with our clients, advisors and staff
Rosca de Reyes is a Mexican Tradition that like other traditions take place here in the border city. It is a ring shaed sweet round cake or oval shape Mexican bread. The celebration of Epiphany to enjoy the Rosca de Reyes takes place 12 days after Christmas in a social reunion with family, friends, or colleagues. The tradition of eating together and sharing the Rosca is to remember the Holy Kings. Here at Raymond James in El Paso we too celebrate this tradition.
Happy Valentine’s Day
Hearts abounded here at the Raymond James & Associates complex in El Paso. The ladies of our office were serenaded by the Border Chorders of El Paso and treated to a well-deserved day of lunch and plenty of chocolates…Thank you, ladies, for all you do for our clients and our great firm!!
5th Annual Opening Day
Our clients and soon-to-be clients were in for a special time as we celebrated the new baseball season: "Juarez Hot Dogs", hamburgers, peanuts, Cracker Jack and a special appearance from "Chico," the official mascot of the El Paso Chihuahuas, the Triple-A minor league team of the San Diego Padres. Special feature appearance from El Paso's own "Los Toritos" Mariachis led us in the Spanish rendition of "Take Me out to the Ballgame," "Llevame a el juego de beisbol".
Happy Mother’s Day
Celebrating Mother’s Day for both America and Mexico, the mothers of Raymond James El Paso were recognized with a special luncheon and presentation. Our featured guest speaker was mother and grandmother extraordinaire Helen Dayoub, a local educator who shared her motherly wisdom with the group. Happy Mother’s day to all mothers!
Dia de los Muertos
Here on the border, the celebration of Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday observed by many.
The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pray for and remember loved ones who have died, helping support their spiritual journey.
In Mexican culture, death is viewed as a natural part of the human cycle. Mexicans view it not as a day of sadness but as a day of celebration because their loved ones awake and celebrate with them. In 2008, the tradition was inscribed in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
Celebrating Junior League
It was a magical evening here at the Raymond James El Paso office as we honored the Junior League of El Paso's Christmas Fair organizing committee and leadership. The Christmas Fair is the league's signature annual event. We are most honored that this year's chairperson is our own financial advisor, Jennifer Dayoub, of the El Paso office.
The 70+ ladies were treated to a terrific evening on our patio overlooking a beautiful sunset and the Sierra Madre Mountains. Music was provided by the Mariachi Esencia de Mexico.
Happy Thanksgiving
Our first annual Raymond James turkey cook-off benefitting the El Paso Rescue Mission was a gobble-gobble success. We have a fun-loving, heart-giving office and we are thankful for the unique culture here at Raymond James & Associates. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Rosca de Reyes
A time honored tradition being celebrated here in our new international office in El Paso, Texas. Thanks, Team!
International Women's Day
El Paso, Texas, our new Raymond James office serving the international and domestic markets, paused to celebrate International Women's Day with an international luncheon and program.
International Women's Day is celebrated globally on March 8 with the purpose of highlighting the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.
Our firm's new Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Michele Reeves, addressed the gathering telephonically from our home office and delivered an excellent message about Raymond James being a firm of opportunity.
We thank all the women of our office and our firm for their outstanding contributions to Raymond James and the community.
Ceremonial Ribbon Cutting
First there were none ...and now there are many... – with more to come. Thank you, Raymond James & Associates President Tash Elwyn for officiating the ceremonial ribbon cutting this past week. What a remarkable story that's taking place here in the Borderland with the arrival and immediate growth of a "client first" model that is one of a kind. Please join us and "Discover Raymond James".
The 3rd Annual Opening Day Celebration is a big hit
Play ball!
The El Paso office marked the start of the 2017 baseball season with our third annual Opening Day Celebration.
Clients, advisors and staff gathered on April 4 to feast on traditional baseball fare – peanuts and Cracker Jack, of course – as well as some terrific Nathan’s hot dogs.
We had a terrific turnout, including a special guest. Tash Elwyn, the president of Raymond James & Associates, who came all the way from the Raymond James home office in St. Petersburg, Florida, to celebrate with us.
Chico, the official mascot of the El Paso Chihuahuas, livened up the celebration, along with the special appearance of the Mariachis Los Toritos who sang the time-honored seventh inning song “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” in Spanish.
This event is a great example of how far our El Paso office has come in the past few years. We started out small in terms of the number of people and amount of office space. Now, we have several associates and team members in a new, modern location.
The El Paso branch is completely renovated. And the styling, look and appeal of the facility are certainly impressive.
Raymond James has become a destination for successful advisors looking for the freedom, flexibility and support they need to succeed on their own terms. So, the growth of our El Paso branch follows a national pattern of expansion throughout the country for Raymond James, but especially here in the Southwest.
We’re also proud of our commitment to helping make the El Paso community stronger by volunteering our time and energy to worthy projects and causes. Because we don’t just work here. We live here. And we know how special it is to call El Paso home, in any season.
