While other teams may either have active portfolio and investment management expertise or financial planning expertise, our team values what each area offers as part of a larger plan, and so we have purposely built our practice with a balanced emphasis on both.
Tricia O’Neil is a Chartered Financial Analyst, while Rob Richardson is a Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner. We work together to provide a personalized and holistic financial plan, as well as hands-on investment analysis and custom portfolio management.

While we have significant experience in the financial and investment industries (Tricia has over 30 years, Rob has over 15), we are relatively young with many years ahead of us. You won’t have to worry about us retiring before you do. We will be here for you – and for your family.

As hands-on money managers, we personally select and actively manage your investments. Nothing is farmed out to outside money managers so you will always know who is handling your money. That means we review your account and make changes to your investment mix when we believe it is in your best interest. Your life evolves. You shouldn’t expect your portfolio and investments to just remain the same. It’s why we practice active investment management.

Our focus on multigenerational families is the inspiration behind our name – Descendants Wealth Management. The highest compliment we get is when a client asks us to help guide a child and keep them on a successful path. It is a clear demonstration of the trust and faith they have in us. We are often asked to continue to maintain the family wealth after the family patriarch or matriarch passes away given the family’s knowledge of the strong job we have done on the prior generation’s behalf and the trust that generation had in us.
