Chris Spencer
Managing Director, Retail Municipal Trading Desk
Chris Spencer is Managing Director and Manager of Raymond James' Memphis-based retail municipal trading desk. Chris graduated from Colorado State University in 1999 with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Finance. After completing his undergraduate degree, Chris joined George K Baum & Company in Denver, CO, where he specialized in trading and underwriting municipal bonds in the western United States. Chris joined Morgan Keegan's Municipal Bond Department in Atlanta, GA as a Trader and Underwriter in 2004 after earning his MBA from the University of Colorado. In 2007, Chris relocated to Morgan Keegan's home office in Memphis, TN where he was head of the retail municipal bond trading desk. Chris managed Morgan Keegan's Bank Qualified desk from 2009 to 2011, and returned to Managing the Memphis Retail Trading desk as part of Morgan Keegan's transition to Raymond James.
