Announcing the Winner of Our Charitable Giveaway!

I’m pleased to announce the winner of our Charitable Giveaway, Coalfield Development of Wayne, West Virginia. I love the organization’s mission of building a stronger mountain community-one hit hard by the fallen coal mining industry-by giving a hand up in training and mentorship.

Coalfield Development’s goal is to build a new economy in West Virginia - and according to their track record, it would seem that they’ve done just that. They have created more than 40 training positions and hundreds of professional certification opportunities. They also revived over 150,000 square feet of property and created five new businesses (Coalfield, n.d.)

It’s great to see an organization that is truly making an impact, recreating a foundation for economic growth by turning challenges into opportunities. It is our hope that our $500 donation will help Coalfield Development sow the seeds they have planted to bring more self-sustaining prosperity to West Virginia.
