Helping others Is what drives us

The Catamount Financial Advisors team is deeply passionate about giving back to our community. Below are some of the people and organizations we support.

The Kelly Brush Foundation

kellybrushfoundation.org

The Kelly Brush Foundation (KBF) is dedicated to making active lifestyles a reality for those who have experienced a spinal cord injury. It offers the inspiration to believe in themselves and the grants to enable anyone to buy the equipment they need to get out and go. But KBF funds more than just recreation – when you’re out there on the hill, road or trail, as your heart rate rises and you feel the wind on your face, disability fades away. An active lifestyle forges connections with others, both new friends and old.

Our team participates in the Kelly Brush Foundation Century Ride every September, both as volunteers and (some of us!) as riders. We also participate in the “Inspire Vermont” event every summer, helping to raise money and awareness for the incredible work the Kelly Brush Foundation does.

The Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation

flyinryanhawks.org

The Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation is a nonprofit inspired by the life of Ryan Hawks. The foundation was founded in April 2011 after Ryan, a well-known and widely respected extreme skier, passed away from injuries sustained during a Freeskiing World Tour event in Kirkwood, California. To honor his legacy as a person, his family set up a nonprofit foundation called the Flyin Ryan Hawks Foundation. It exists to challenge students, athletes and others to independently explore what is important to them and to take ownership of those ideas by composing a set of core values to serve as the basis for their daily attitude and decisions. We believe that an internally imposed sense of identity is a vital component in life that will produce higher quality decisions and a greater sense of well-being.

Special Olympics Vermont

specialolympicsvermont.org

Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Our athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment – on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential.

We believe the Special Olympics has the ability to inspire inclusion in our community. Our team volunteers at numerous events throughout the year. Some of our favorites are the bocce competition at the annual Summer Games, and the Board of Director’s Golf Tournament.

Chill Foundation

chill.org

Chill Foundation inspires youth to overcome challenges through board sports. Its youth development program revolves around a six-week curriculum that uses board sports to teach life skills and increase self-esteem in participants. Its six weekly themes (patience, persistence, responsibility, courage, respect and pride) provide a framework for learning and personal growth.

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience the outdoors. Founded by Jake and Donna Carpenter of Burton Snowboards, Chill Foundation makes that opportunity a reality for thousands of participants in its programs. We participate in a number of Chill events each year, ranging from the Chill Golf Tournament to the Fall Bash, always having a fantastic time supporting the foundation with incredible people.

The University of Vermont intercollegiate athletics program

The intercollegiate athletics program at the University of Vermont facilitates the personal growth and education of young men and women through their participation in a comprehensive program of NCAA Division I sports. As an integral part of the university, the intercollegiate athletics program actively promotes equity and diversity, fosters the pursuit of academic and athletic excellence, and provides community enrichment.

We are proud of the Vermont athletics legacy. These student athletes demonstrate hard work and dedication every day and provide great role models for our youth. You can often find members of our team at ice hockey and basketball games, particularly in the Catamount Financial Advisors of Raymond James Victory Club!

Raymond James is not affiliated with the above organizations.
