Carolyn and Don believe that they should give back to the community that has been so good to them.
Carolyn has served on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Citrus County, completed Leadership Citrus Class of 2005, served as President of the Kings Bay Rotary Club of Crystal River from 2003 - 2004, and has been involved in several school programs - Junior Achievement, Drop-out Prevention, Stock Market Game and more. The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International named Carolyn a Paul Harris Fellow in appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world.
Don has a big heart and especially when it comes to children as he has been a volunteer Guardian At Litem for 9 years. Don handles the cases of children who have been victims of sexual abuse and works closely with the children and the court systems. Don is the voice for these children. Don also completed Leadership Citrus Class of 2004.
The team also actively particpates in the Citrus County Family Resource Center and the Toys for Tots programs each year with Christmas gifts for children. They are supporters of United Way, Hospice, youth sports leagues, Fallen Heroes, Voices for Children and Blessings in a Back Pack.
Not only does our team give back to our wonderful community but our clients step-up and get involved, as well. It really gives the meaning of being a 'team' a broader definition....Carolyn, Don, Marie and our clients. This picture is just one of many of our clients bringing in Christmas gifts for our annual Toys for Tots drive. This sweet Santa and Mrs. Claus filled up all three of our Toys for Tots boxes in our lobby. Thank-you!
Employees of Crystal River Branch - 32Q spent two and half weeks collecting women's and children's clothes, paper products, diapers, personal hygiene items, bedding and other items for the Citrus County Abuse Shelter. CASA helps abused and battered women and children.
Carolyn Caffee took a car full of items and delivered them to CASA this morning. These items were greatly appreciated by the staff and CASA as you can see by the photo attached.
The staff at the Crystal River Branch collects school supplies and backpacks for Voices For Children of North Central Florida.
Voices For Children works with the Guardian Ad Litem program, which benefits children who have been abandoned, neglected or abused.
In 2013, Raymond James Financial Services was awarded the Community Advocate of the Year for Outstanding Service.
Also, pictured below is the winner of our 50/50 drawing at a recent fundraiser in which our office participated. We were able to raise $1,060.00 and the winner received $530.00 (he donated $100.00 back, too!).
