We’re grateful for the continual support of our clients and neighbors who have helped us achieve success. It’s our honor and privilege to return the favor as active members of our community. Here are some of the initiatives that are most important to us.
This year, our office was fortunate enough to be a part of the third annual Caden's Car Show held at University of Michigan's C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. The event is in remembrance of Caden Bowles, who passed away in 2013. RJ provided event-support by stuffing goodie bags, assisting with day-of-event operations and gifting goodie bags to patients unable to attend the events.
Throughout the month of August, we collected books for the University of Michigan’s Pediatric Literacy Program, Reach Out and Read®. Reach Out and Read® makes literacy promotion a standard part of pediatric primary care so that children grow up with books and a love of reading. Due to the generosity of our clients and staff, we accumulated over 200 new and gently used children’s books! One of the most gratifying aspects of partnering with Reach Out and Read® was seeing several of our childhood favorites being shared with the younger generation.
For Raymond James Cares month, we chose to volunteer at the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV). Each year, HSHV helps over 12,000 dogs, cats, and small animals that are abused, lost, unwanted, injured and/or abandoned. During our time as volunteers, we assisted in maintenance of the facility to ensure that the animals have a comfortable stay while at HSHV. We were fortunate to be able to roll up our sleeves and support our furry, four-legged friends!
In past Raymond James Cares Months, the Ann Arbor Raymond James Branch volunteered at Food Gatherers in Ann Arbor, MI. Food Gatherers is a local organization that rescues and moves an average of 9 tons of food daily. Branch 35F associates traveled to the Food Gatherers’ warehouse to aid in the food distribution process. We learned how to inspect, sort, process and package various types of food products. Food Gatherers exists to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in our community and we are very appreciative to be a part of such a wonderful organization in Washtenaw County.
Raymond James is not affiliated with the above organizations and/or charitable causes.
