College Admissions in the Age of Coronavirus
By Christine Scruggs
What started as an inconvenient disruption has grown into full-blown upheaval. Since pandemic-induced lockdowns began in March of 2020, the college admissions process has quickly become unrecognizable from years past and the landscape continues to shift.
College campuses, forced to close their doors, ended visits and tours. Testing centers were shuttered indefinitely, and summer programs were cancelled. High school athletics, extracurricular activities, grades and standardized tests were left in total disarray. Most admission metrics used to evaluate students simply weren’t available. And, many are still uncertain at best.
How do you help your student navigate college admissions in the age of COVID19? College Coach Nancy Steenson will host a free webinar "College Admissions in the Age of Coronavirus" at 5pm EST Thursday, February 11th.
Geared toward 8th-11th grade students and/or their parents, Nancy will discuss how colleges are evaluating students in this new and changing landscape. She'll share insights for adapting to this new reality and ways to stand out in the admissions process. Register by emailing nancysteenson@comcast.net and use the word “WELLSPRING” in the subject line.
