An Object In Motion

After a miserable January – March, the stock market just posted one of its best 5 month stretches since 1950. (source: LPL Research) A gain of +35.4% for stocks from April – August of 2020. 

So what might this mean for the next year in the stock market?

Historically since 1950, the gains after 5 month win streaks is very impressive. 25 out of 26 times, stocks were up even more 1 year later.

To quote Isaac Newton, “An object in motion tends to stay in motion”.
