Congratulations Keith
The first 11 years of my career were spent on the exchange trading floors in London, New York, and Philadelphia. As part of the process of transitioning off the trading floor, I was required to pass the Series 7 Exam. “Oh, that’s going to be easy.” After all, I spent all those years trading options on commodities, foreign currencies, and stocks……..what could be new? Wrong. It was pretty rough. I endured countless hours preparing. The morning after I passed ‘The 7’, I found this note from my father on my desk:
And so I am honored to announce that my son Keith has recently earned his Series 7 as well. As he invested all those hours learning and studying, I quickly realized that the Series 7 of 2021 is much more difficult than the Series 7 from 23 years ago. Keith worked so much harder, and had to absorb significantly more information. Keith’s achievement carries additional meaning because of the effort required. I am very proud, and I am certain my father is even more proud. Rick Sr’s legacy of service continues, and grows stronger. Congratulations Keith!
