Sam, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, provides consultative and customized portfolio management in equity and fixed income investments, drawing on his more than 35 years of financial industry experience. He helps clients make prudent financial decisions so that they can feel confident.
He held the position of first vice president at The Robinson-Humphrey Company and Smith Barney before joining Morgan Keegan, now Raymond James, in 2009. He helps clients make prudent financial decisions so that they may potentially gain financial independence.
Serving the community is important to Sam. He is an officer and member of the board of managers for the South Carolina Historical Society, a past member of the board of trustees of Spartanburg County School District No. 7, a past president and board member of the Spartanburg Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission, a past member of the board of governors of the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce, a past president and member of the board of the Rotary Club of Spartanburg, a current board member of the Spartanburg Thomas E. Hannah Family YMCA, a current board member of The First Tee of Spartanburg, a current board member of the Bobby Chapman Junior Invitational golf tournament, a former vestryman of the Episcopal Church of the Advent, a past president and board member of The Advent Foundation and a member of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew.
Sam was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He has lived in Spartanburg for the past 33 years with his wife, Sarah, who herself is a lifelong resident. They have two grown daughters, Sadie and Annie. In his free time he enjoys traveling, spending time with family, golf and reading. He’s a member of The Piedmont Club, The Country Club of Spartanburg, Biltmore Forest Country Club and the Rotary Club of Spartanburg.
