A native of Greenville, SC, Lawson graduated from the College of Charleston with a B.A in Political Science. He also received his M.A.T in Social Studies Secondary Education and taught in Greenville County Schools for 4 years. He is a member of Christ Church Episcopal. He is also active in Ducks Unlimited and the Greenville Griffins Rugby Club. Lawson and his wife Kelli live in Greenville, SC with their sons Charlie and Manning. When not working, Lawson enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing rugby for the Griffins. He has been with Raymond James since 2018.
