The 2024 Virginia 500 is a list of the state’s most powerful and influential leaders by sector assembled by the editors of Virginia Business. Inclusion on the list is based upon a variety of considerations, including annual revenue, newsworthiness, community involvement, diversity, number of employees (in Virginia and worldwide) and how large a presence the organization has in the commonwealth. Time period upon which the rating is based is from 8/1/2023 to 8/1/2024, and was released on 8/29/2024. Surveys were sent to over 750 individuals and the final list recognizes 500, with 37 honorees in the Banking/Finance section. Each company and its subsidiaries have been limited to only three entries.
