Our Investing Philosophy

The future is unknowable! We do not have a crystal ball that allows us to see into the future any more clearly than others (do not believe any investment firm that tells you otherwise!). Because of this, we rely on common sense and history to guide us. Since we cannot know the future, we will not be able to invest in the one stock that will outpace all other stocks. We believe long-term investors should be patient, broadly diversified, globally allocated, and use low-cost and tax-efficient investments to attempt to accumulate wealth.

There is no assurance that any investment strategy will be successful. Investing involves risk including the possible loss of capital. Diversification does not guarantee a profit nor protect against loss. International investing involves additional risks such as currency fluctuations, differing financial accounting standards, and possible political and economic instability. These risks are greater in emerging markets.
