Raymond James expands Investment Banking practice, adds veteran Commercial & Industrial Services banker

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. ─ Raymond James continues to expand the capabilities of its Diversified Industrials Investment Banking practice with the hiring of Andy Schwartz as managing director and co-head of the newly constituted Commercial & Industrial Services sector team. Schwartz has extensive experience in numerous Commercial & Industrial Services sub-sectors, including facilities & industrial services, environmental & waste services, utilities & infrastructure services and rental services, among others.

He has managed domestic and cross-border M&A and capital raising transactions for clients, including leading private equity funds and founder-owned private companies. Raymond James has advised on several of the most notable transactions in water, environmental and infrastructure services in recent years, and Schwartz’s experience complements and strengthens the firm’s robust existing expertise in those sectors as well as expands the firm’s coverage in other relevant markets.

“Andy is a well-regarded professional who is adept at helping clients pursue exceptional outcomes on their most important and sizable monetization events,” said Alper Cetingok, head of the Diversified Industrials Investment Banking practice. “The expansion of our Commercial & Industrial Services team marks a significant milestone for the Diversified Industrials practice, and the enhanced coverage in this sector allows us to better serve clients as their businesses grow and evolve in response to changing market conditions. I’m excited to have Andy join Brendan Tierney as co-head of this important effort, as their combined leadership, industry knowledge, transaction experience and relationships across the sector ensure that our clients receive world-class advice and support related to their capital formation and M&A initiatives.”

Schwartz joins Raymond James from Lincoln International, where he was a senior leader in the firm’s Business Services practice focused on M&A and capital raising transactions for private equity funds, private companies and public company clients. He previously held investment banking and private equity roles at American Capital and Piper Jaffray. Schwartz received a BBA degree from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and his MBA from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.

“I’m thrilled to join Raymond James,” Schwartz said. “The firm has a time-tested track record of leveraging a range of investment banking services to deliver strategic alternatives designed for successful outcomes for its clients. It is an exciting time in the commercial and industrial services market and I look forward to participating in the firm’s continued growth.”
